How Top Network Marketing Earners Treat Their Upline by Ray Higdon

I have noticed there is a big difference with how top MLM income earners treat their uplines vs those that struggle. I have witnessed this so many times that well, there just had to be a blog written about it!

How Top MLM Earners Treat Their Uplines

Let’s first discuss how those who are doing well treat their uplines:

1. They look for collaboration and feedback. They may run ideas past their uplines, or ask them to participate in webinars or events.

2. They look for advice on certain situations.

3. They have their uplines welcome new members to the team.

Overall, they think of their uplines as a supportive arm of their own business. Someone that has a vested interest in their success and they have no problems reaching out to them for questions or support.

How Those That Struggle Treat Their Upline

Well, they mainly stay in their own heads when it comes to their upline. They rarely ask for help. I see them struggle with two THOUGHTS:

1. Their upline is too busy for them.

2. They have not earned the time with their upline, meaning, they have not had enough success in their own mind to warrant being able to approach their upline.

These two THOUGHTS are very dangerous and it is some of the reasons why people jump from company to company constantly looking for something that just does not exist. No matter how good an upline is, they are never mindreaders and if they have a large team they are responding to who actually takes ACTION and reaches out to them.

Elliot Hiller, Me, Michael Oliver

What does a good upline look like?

A good upline, in my opinion, should create marketing and training resources that anyone in the team can use and also respond to the questions, concerns of the downline while providing an easy way to communicate with them. This upline should also be doing the actions they are suggesting to their downlines such as meetings, webinars, recruiting, etc as the word “upline” does not simply mean “management”. For an upline to be “too busy” for their downline is ludicrous and I have found that more often is is in the downlines mind that they determine the upline is too busy versus that actually be the reality.

Suggestions for Success

If you are not where you want to be, reach out to your upline and at least give them a chance to help before you think that it will be any different in a future company with a different leader. Be willing to listen to those that have the success that you desire versus assume you know it all. As I have stated many, many times, don’t look at what you think you know, simply look at your results to determine if you need help or not.

An excerpt from
Seven Choices for Success and Significance
by Nido Qubein

What is success? Only you can define it in your own life. In my own life, I have attempted to define both Success and Significance.

To me, Success is secular. Significance is spiritual.

It doesn’t matter how you define your own spirituality. Spiritual matters are always finer, deeper, and longer lasting than secular matters.

Success focuses on three Fs:

• Fans
• Fame
• Fortune

Success is focused on tasks, even goals.

Significance also focuses on three Fs:

• Faith
• Family
• Friends

But, significance focuses on purpose. Why am I here? What do I do with the talents, experiences and skills that I have? How can I make the world a better place? How do I plant seeds of greatness in the lives of those around me? How do I make an impact in the circles of influence where I find or place myself?

To choose success and significance, you must be a strategic thinker who:

• Has a clear vision of what you want to accomplish
• Develops a solid strategy that answers three questions:

- Who or what are we today?
- Who do we want to become?
- How do we get there?

• Employs practical systems to achieve your goals
• Commits to consistent execution because in consistency, success
emerges.

When implementing your strategic plan for success, it really comes down to three “Ds”:

Decide what you want most to achieve
Determine the first step to getting what you want
Do the first thing that will start you moving toward your goal.

Using these seven keys, you can choose success and significance. But keep this in mind: success is not a matter of luck, not an accident of birth, not a reward for virtue. The most successful people I know are the ones who have something to do, somewhere to be and someone to love.

No one is responsible for your success or your joy. You must search for it and be in a continual state of earning it.
To merely succeed is not an end in itself. You must use your success to impact other people…to impact the world…to Live Life from the Inside Out.

It all starts with the choices you make—they determine the person you will become.

Wishing you the greatest success,

Master This, Double Your Income In 2012, In 3 Easy Steps

By Andrew Cass

Ask anyone their thoughts on how to double, triple, or even quadruple your income in the New Year and you’d surely find answers like: “get more leads” or “create new products and services” or “sell more.”

All correct answers by the way. But why are so few able to simply do these things year after year? Why will this time next year, for many, look and feel almost identical to the way it looks at the end of this year, with very little income change?

The answer may surprise you. And it’s the reason so few accomplish what they set out to when a New Year begins. It’s the reason so many get derailed from their New Year resolutions or their New Year goals, usually within only a few short weeks. It’s THE reason so many business fail, so fast.

The answer is: “Distraction.”

It’s the silent business killer. Like cancer in the body, Distraction slowly, quietly creeps up on us, day in and day out, and ever so discreetly takes us further and further away from what’s really important.

And to make matters worse, we are now in the “Distraction Age” with more connected technology and gadgets than EVER before to take our eye off the ball. But only if you let it. Like cancer, Distraction can be prevented and fought. But only by the proactive…

So how does one proactively fight Distraction?

Today, as we begin 2012, I’ll give your three powerful tips to do it so you can put yourself in a position to double, even triple your income in the next 12 months…

1) Make a list of all the devices you use throughout the day that are “turned on” and able to interrupt you from your “revenue producing” work. For example, your cell phone, email, instant message, Facebook, etc. Just write down what is “turned on” throughout your day. Do this right now before going to #2. I’ll wait right here.

2) Choose one to two “one hour” blocks of time throughout your day where you turn ALL of it off. OFF. Maybe an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. Maybe only for an hour in the morning to start. But OFF.

Now work, really work and focus on “one thing” during this block of time (or two) where all Distractions are silenced from your personal productivity space. One hour only, then you can go crazy and turn it all back on again. You’re off the hook.

3) Now, for the difficult accountability part that most will never do (which is why most will be no further ahead next year), track this daily “in writing.” Grab a journal. I call it a Personal Productivity Journal. At the end of each day, write down your results. Did you block out the time(s) today to work Distraction Free? If yes, write it in, if no, write it in. Now check your results at the end of the week. How did you do?

The big question is…

Would YOU want to work for you? Or should you fire yourself? The answer is right in front of you. Anyone who can’t discipline themselves to work Distraction Free for only one to two hours “per day” is in trouble. However, those who will, benefit BIG and eventually build off this and work Distraction Free for even more than one or two hours each day. Just so you know, those are the top 2% of income earners in the world.

IF you’re tough enough to do this, and track it, you will double (maybe even triple) your weekly productivity which, very often, translates to an equal increase in cash flow.

Happy New Year…

Four years later, our short, diminutive art instructor, Wanda Helvey, asked the same question and only one-third of the same class responded by raising their hands.

By the seventh grade, we were down to one-sixth of the class and finally by our senior year, only two out of the original 25 raised their hands. What happened across twelve years? Had we been sucker punched with self-doubt about our artistic capabilities?

At the start of our schooling, our parents gave frequent positive feedback about our artwork as they proudly displayed our renderings on the refrigerator. Somewhere along the path of our elementary education, some person or teacher pointed out a mistake and we started focusing on those comments. The presumed mistakes manifested themselves into, “I can’t draw. I’m not an artist.” We internalized the criticism and forever gave up on some of the best talent that 2-to-5-year-old children had developed. The majority of artists started listening to other voices and putting more credence in the opinion of their peers versus their own inner voice of confidence. Who has the right to feed you such negativity?

The mistake made is in listening to other people. On top of that, the grading process of the arts is questionable. Grading systems point out flaws. Isn’t the whole idea of school to learn, grow and become contributing citizens?

Life Lesson…

Above all else:
Listen to your inner voice and have confidence that you can chase your own passion.
Foster an intimacy with your own skills and confidently build from your first level of success.

Wishing you the greatest success,

How to Handle Christmas as a Network Marketing Professional by Ray Higdon

So you have the family all gathered around from all parts of the country, isn’t it the perfect time to bust out the whiteboard and draw some circles! NO! This post will help you against what not to do at Christmas as a network marketer to prevent looking like a total rookie.

Just Because You Can, Doesn’t Mean You Should

Lets say the family member where you are having Christmas gives you permission to do a little presentation. Do Not Do It. If you turn off even one family member, you are going to set a tone in your business that this is how it is done and you will either (a) teach your family members that join how to do things the wrong way or (b) be the black sheep of the family for years (they may or may not tell you to your face). If you are drawing circles and talking compensation plans on the birthday of baby Jesus, you run a high probability that someone will be offended.

Stay Professional at Christmas as a Network Marketer

Here are some suggestions for you to keep your cool at Christmas as well as be attracting. The problem with family is we believe we can skip all the sales training of how to talk to them as they are so close to us, if ever sales training would apply, it would be with your family. This doesn’t mean be cheesy salesperson but DO NOT throw up on your relatives at Christmas about your ground-floor opportunity or next billion dollar company. Instead, answer questions in a certain way, otherwise, listen and plan to follow up. Here are the suggestions:

1. Listen. Family members are going to talk about their problems (mainly) and it is your chance to simply lend an ear and be present with them. Don’t think of when to sneak the sales pitch in, but, just listen. The number one voice people like to hear is their own, let them believe you have improved as a conversationalist by saying little and listening a lot.

2. Log the different things going on in each family members life and call them the next week just to see if they are open to looking at what you are doing. Show that you cared enough to listen and they may just listen to you. Do NOT be addicted to the outcome though if they do not decide to join. Thank them and ask them for a referral.

3. When asked about your network marketing business or what you do, don’t go into a sales pitch that ends with “you should look into it”, talk about what you and your team are doing and the stories of some people in the team that have been impacted and then roll the questions back to them and ask them about themselves.

4. Be present. I say this again as it is so easy to just treat this like another year or whatever, you never know if someone in the room at Christmas may not be there next year so truly be present and don’t just think about who you think you are going to sign up. Times are tough for a lot of industries right now and the holidays can really bring out the depression in people especially if they have experienced an occupational change this past year. Be present, listen and love them even if you don’t always agree with them.

An excerpt from
The Simple Blessing of Christmas
by Mark Gilroy

Norman Vincent Peale, noted minister and author from the previous century, tells the story of a young girl from Sweden spending Christmas in big, bustling New York City. She was living with an American family and helping them around the house, and she didn’t have much money. So she knew she couldn’t get them a very nice Christmas present – besides, they already had so much, with new gifts arriving every day.

With just a little money in her pocket, she went out and bought an outfit for a small baby, and then she set out on a journey to find the poorest part of town and the poorest baby she could find. At first, she received only strange looks from passersby when she asked them for help. But then a kind stranger, a Salvation Army bell-ringer, guided her to a poor part of town and helped her deliver her gift. On Christmas morning, instead of giving them a wrapped present, she told the family she served what she had done in their name. Everyone was speechless, and everyone was blessed – the girl for giving, the wealthy family for seeing others with new eyes, and the poor family for receiving an unexpected gift.

All of us have opportunities both large and small to show kindness, especially at Christmastime. We can help strangers by delivering gifts to needy kids or serving homeless families at a soup kitchen. Or we can simply look for everyday ways to be kind, like allowing someone to go ahead of us in a lengthy line at the department store, or giving that bell-ringer a little change and a few encouraging words.

Maybe it’s because we’re in gift-giving mode anyway that giving to others becomes so important at Christmas. Or because we’re more aware of our families and friends and communities. Or maybe it’s because two thousand years ago, the earth received the most perfect, most loving gift of all, helping us to understand true kindness.

Whatever the reason, don’t let Christmas pass you by without showing kindness to someone. Because it is truly more blessed to give than to receive.

Wishing you the greatest success,

Start Fresh in Your MLM Home Business by Ray Higdon

My kids play a lot of video games. When a game is not going their way, they hit the reset button. Ever wish you had a reset button on your home based business? Well, you do and you can start fresh and this blog will help you. This may be the best thing you could possibly do if you are frustrated with your results.

Your MLM prospects don’t know your Frustration..unless you tell them

When you are talking to friends and family or other MLM prospects, you can get a lot of rejection. Welcome to the club. It is not what happens to you but how you respond to what happens to you that makes all the difference in the home based franchise world. Every MLM top leader or income earner has had their share of rejection, they just kept on going as their desires were larger than their excuses.

It can become a habit that when we get rejected by one person, we carry that dejected emotions over to the next person who would otherwise have no idea we had ever been rejected. Each new person you talk to can be a fresh start but far too often we let the LAST person that rejected us affect our future conversations. Suggested Exercise: If you have had a not so great conversation with someone, Take a huge deep breath in through your nose, hold it for ten seconds and let it out through your mouth. This can help get some more oxygen and can help reduce your stress. Embrace the knowledge that your next MLM prospect has no idea what just happened and treat them as a brand new person that would love to work with you.

How to totally start fresh..

Too often we focus on what we have NOT accomplished and forget the whole reason why we started down this journey. I, and the rest of your family/world, encourage you to recall why you got into the home based business industry. Here is a guarantee, you joined your network marketing business because you saw possibility. You joined because you saw that there was another way and that you could accomplish some certain things in your life. Can you still accomplish those things? Of course you can, but not with the mindset focused on what has NOT been accomplished.

Start Fresh, press the reset button. Talk to your MLM prospects with the energy and vigor you had when you first started this business and didn’t know that others might reject you. Have a broad smile on your face thinking about the things you can now accomplish with this industry. It is your attitude that will determine your results and we forget this by losing sight on our reasons why.

Kaizen:

An excerpt from
Change is Good…You Go First
by Mac Anderson and Tom Feltenstein

Something magical happens when we accept personal responsibility for our behavior and our results. But, it’s not easy, because it’s human nature to "pass the buck". I (Mac) know there have been times in my life when my business was struggling where I found myself blaming others, blaming the economy, blaming this, blaming that! But as I’ve gotten older (and a little wiser) when things go wrong in my business, or my life, I can always find the culprit…in the mirror. In every instance, it always comes back to choices I’ve made in my life that put me exactly where I am today. I have to say, that this one "tweak" in my attitude may sound like a little thing, but it has made a big difference in my life.

What does all this have to do with change? Plenty! As a manager, one of the most important things you can do in times of change is to get your people to understand how taking personal responsibility and recognizing problems as opportunities, will not only help the company, but will help them as individuals. In other words, sell the idea of…what’s in it for them?
Authors B.J. Gallagher and Steve Ventura wrote a great little book about achieving success through personal accountability titled: Who Are "They" Anyway? I like their list showing how each individual in the company can benefit by adopting a "personal accountability attitude."

• You have more control over your destiny
• You become an active contributor rather than a passive observer
• Others look to you for leadership
• You gain the reputation as a problem solver
• You enhance your career opportunities
• You enjoy the satisfaction that comes from getting things done…the power of positive doing
• You experience less anger, frustration and helplessness – all leading to better physical health
• You realize a positive spillover effect into your personal life at home
According to Gallagher and Ventura, the most important words of personal responsibility are as follows:

The 10 most important words:
I won’t wait for others to take the first step.
The 9 most important words:
If it is to be, it’s up to me.
The 8 most important words
If not me, who? If not now, when?
The 7 most important words:
Let me take a shot at it.
The 6 most important words:
I will not pass the buck.
The 5 most important words:
You can count on me.
The 4 most important words:
It IS my job!
The 3 most important words:
Just do it!
The 2 most important words:
I will.
The most important word:
Me.

Wishing you the greatest success,

Dear Brandon,

Thanks for your message. I am glad you are doing well.

Anyway, regarding network marketing, I have been doing this for over 15 years and I have been in everything from Amway to Melaleuca to ACN to Ignite to Tahitian Noni and many more. The really sad thing is that I lost money in every single one of those companies. Especially ACN. After a year of working ACN, I still hadn’t made my $500 back. It was really depressing. I joined with my cousin and she was all gung ho about ACN and even moved with her husband to New Zealand to open ACN there and now, two years later, they aren’t even doing it anymore.

I think there’s a specific reason people drop out of network marketing companies. I’ve seen it in every single one I’ve ever done. It’s because there are way too many barriers. In a recession economy especially I personally think that having to come up with $500 just to join a company with no product in return is a total rip off.

It is a marketing ploy because it creates a sense of urgency as people now feel pressure to earn their $500 back. So they go crazy trying to recruit and most people choose to be less than ethical once they realize it isn’t as easy as it sounded. And most find that they can’t find enough people to get involved with them to break even so they eventually quit, cursing the network marketing industry and swearing they’ll never do it again.

Some people do make money with it and that’s great for them. But it makes me sad how many people they have to burn through to get there. I feel really bad for those people that can’t recruit well enough so they end up losing their money.

I was talking to one of the main guys at Xango the other day and he was telling me about how he finally made a moral decision to leave them because at Xango they recruit around 30,000 new people worldwide every month, but they lose about 28,000 who quit. He finally got fed up with the attitude that it was OK to throw away 28,000 people just to get the 2,000 that would stick around.

The reason I chose to work Revvnrg over all other companies that I could possibly be working is because the owner Scotty Paulson decided to eliminate all the barriers. He started as a Nuskin rep back in the 80′s and got totally fed up with them. That is why he implemented the following:

1) There is no sign up fee. Zip, zero, zilch. To join the business all you have to do is buy some product. That’s it.

2) The product is actually less expensive than what you find in a store. What? Really? Yes. Noni juice from Morinda is $40 a bottle. At Walmart it is only $7. Laundry soap from Melaleuca is $29 for 96 loads. At Walmart is is $12. Energy drink from Revvnrg is $1. At Walmart it is $1.50 or more. Wow! That means I can actually resell it and make money. Genius!

3) The compensation plan is the highest paying plan in the industry. Period. No one else even comes close. Most uni-levels pay out around 5%. Most binaries pay out around 10%. Service companies like ACN and Ignite are paying just pennies on the dollar in residuals on the services. Revvnrg pays 15% to 24% on every single dollar that comes in, whether that is from retail or personal consumption, but all based on actual product sales, not recruiting fees.

4) Timing. Network marketing is definitely the way to go and I’d say pick an older established company over a new startup for sure because very few companies actually survive to be five years old. But timing is everything and if you can pick a company to join that has been around about three years or so, that is perfect because it means they have been around long enough that you know they are stable but they are still new enough to take advantage of the stage of momentum as the excitement of something new launching in new countries is just taking off.

The point is, you can make money in all networking companies. People do it every day. However, why make it harder on yourself by having barriers? Only 95% of the people actually go on to make a lot of money in this industry. So by eliminating as many barriers as possible, you make it that much easier to be part of the 5%. To me, a $500 entry fee is way too big of a barrier for most people to deal with.

Since you are already in, I wish you luck and I hope you can actually make your money back unlike me. I however can never go back to a company like ACN. I feel like they took my money and gave me nothing in return.

If you are interested in taking advantage of some great growth that is happening as we launch Revvnrg in Mexico and then Colombia, let me know. It is only $40 to get started and that even includes your box of product (including shipping and tax!)

Thanks!

-Jeremy

Wanna Be a Top MLM Leader? Change Your Routine by Ray Higdon

I recently read a book called the “Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy and it made me realize that although I do a lot of things right, I could be doing a better job and getting more results if I tweaked my routine. Darren does a great job of explaining that all the results in your life (good or bad) have come from your daily routine. So, if you want better results, say, to become a top mlm leader, then lets look at that routine!

My New Routine

So, after reading the book I decided to set my alarm on my phone for 5am every morning and get up and do some of the things that I have not had time for. So my routine is currently:

5am – Wake, write my affirmations, drink glass of water
5:10am – Workout
5:50am – Meditate for 15-20 (depends on the day)
6:15am – Set my clock to read for 30 mins (not the newspaper, motivational or marketing books)
6:45am – Set my top 3 goals and THEN open my emails

Now, I know some of you work full-time and are trying to build your network marketing business opportunity part-time. But, look at what you can get accomplished before 7am if you put your mind to it! Do I want to get up at 5am? Definitely not, but, I know there is a payoff there that makes sense for me and my goals.

“Everything you want in life is just outside your comfort zone”
- Jack Canfield

If you want to lead a better life, make more money, become a top mlm leader, or lose a bunch of weight, you have to be willing to change and make sacrifices. I get all of this done in the morning so that I can concentrate my day on building my business via prospecting, doing 3 way calls or coaching my teammates.

How you can make small changes that will make an impact

If you are part-time building your network marketing business opportunity, think about ways you can maximize the time that you do have. Can you bring your lunch (thereby saving you a lot of money) and make calls to prospects while on your lunch break? Can you get up one hour earlier to send out facebook correspondence? Can you work a few hours more before you go to bed? Don’t try to overdo it at first but here is something I definitely know and you should as well…

Your Time Management Will Dictate the Velocity and Depth of Your Success

Have a crazy schedule? Well, how long do you want to have it? Would you rather make sacrifices the next year and work an even crazier schedule or do you want to keep that crazy schedule that will never give you the freedom you so desire?

Some Simple Ideas to Help

- If you are driving somewhere, use that time to either talk to prospects or if it is too early or late, listen to motivational or marketing audio books.

- Status Quo will keep you where you are. If you usually go out to lunch with the office girls or boys, think about how you could spend that time better. (I didn’t say this would be comfortable!)

- Turn off the TV. Your television set is an electronic income reducer that is guaranteed to work 100% of the time. Turn it off and instead prospect, read or talk to your spouse or family (imagine that!)

You will NOT become a top mlm leader without making a change, how bad do you want it?

The 12 Days of Christmas –Washboard Abs Edition from Body By Banks

Red and green decorations are out, nostalgic tunes fill the airways and the kids are hard at work on their letters for Santa.

I know what’s on your list this year and it isn’t found at your local department store.

You’re wishing for washboard abs—so I’ve put together "The Twelve Days of Christmas –Washboard Abs Edition" just for you.

On the First Day…Give yourself the gift of Burpees.
Created in the 1930′s by psychologist Royal H. Burpee, the burpee is an intense full body exercise that helps burn fat and tone muscles. A burpee is done in the following 5 steps: 1) Stand with feet shoulder width apart. 2) Drop to a squat with your hands on the ground. 3) Kick feet back while lowering into a push-up. 4) Return to squat position. 5) Jump up with arms overhead.

On the Second Day…Give yourself the gift of Fiber.
Stocking up on fiber will do wonders for your abs. High fiber foods are nutrient dense and low in calories. Try these high fiber favorites: raspberries, pear (with skin), artichoke, peas, apples (with skin), broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and carrots.

On the Third Day…Give yourself the gift of a Medicine Ball.
The first medicine balls were created in Persia over 3,000 years ago, made with sand filled bladders and used by wrestlers as part of their conditioning. Today you can get the same rippling abs by incorporating medicine balls into your exercise routine. Do a sit-up holding a medicine ball at your chest then throw it to a partner as you raise your chest toward your knees; or hold a medicine ball with arms straight up in the air as you do crunches.

On the Fourth Day…Give yourself the gift of Reduced Salt.
Too much salt leads to water retention—and that spells disaster for your six pack. Pay attention to the sodium content of your food. Limit salt intake by not eating packaged foods and by putting down the salt shaker.

On the Fifth Day…Give yourself the gift of Oblique V-Sits.
Who really wants a muffin top? You don’t, so incorporate Oblique V-Sits into your routine in 3 simple steps. 1) Lie on your side with legs straight and hands behind your head. 2) Raise your arms and legs simultaneously, while exhaling and squeezing your obliques. 3) Repeat on the other side.

On the Sixth Day…Give yourself the gift of Lean Protein.
Along with fiber, your meals should be packed with lean protein. This will help support muscle growth while controlling blood sugar – all important factors when it come to washboard abs.

On the Seventh Day…Give yourself the gift of Sprints.
The days of long slow cardio sessions are long gone. We now know that short intense bursts of cardio is the ideal way to melt fat. Run 60-90 second sprints in between resistance training sets to really kick your fat burning mechanism into high gear.

On the Eighth Day…Give yourself the gift of No Sugar.
Sure, sugar tastes good, but indulging in it causes your body to store layers of fat. Enjoy fresh fruit, rather than refined sugar. If you really want washboard abs, then say no to sugar.

On the Ninth Day…Give yourself the gift of Hanging Leg Raises.
This is one of the most effective ways to strengthen your abdominals. 1) Hang from pull-up bar with legs fully extended. 2) Exhale and drive your knees up toward your chest. 3) Inhale as you slowly lower your legs back down.

On the Tenth Day…Give yourself the gift of No Grain.
If you’re serious about that six pack then put down the bread basket. Grains are full of insulin-spiking carbohydrates—the perfect combination for fattening you up. Learn to love grain-free meals that center around lean meats and vegetables.

On the Eleventh Day…Give yourself the gift of Mountain Climbers.
Here’s another intense exercise that really targets your abs while also burning fat. 1) Get into push-up position. 2) Exhale as you alternately drive your knees in toward your chest, keeping your back flat.

On the Twelfth Day…Give yourself the gift of Washboard Abs.
Contact me about my tummy flattening programs that will get you those washboard abs that you’re wishing for. Call or email today to get started.

We had an AWESOME Super Saturday last week. I learned a TON! One tid-bit I took away from it that I wanted to share is the analogy of the baseball game.

In baseball, everyone wants to hit a home run. Home runs are exciting and the people cheer and the team scores. However, home run’s are few and far between. Most baseball games are not won based on home runs. They are won based on some singles, a few doubles, the occasional triple and a whole bunch of striking out.

As in baseball, those of us in network marketing also want to hit a “home run” (i. e. signing up an experienced marketer or getting the product into a big store). But those that are successful in this profession didn’t get there with home runs. They got there with “singles” and “doubles” and a whole ton of “strike outs”. In other words, it takes getting up to bat every single day and not being afraid to strike out. Some days you will get a base hit. Others you won’t. But if you stay in the game and keep playing long enough, eventually you may just get a “Grand Slam”!

If you haven’t noticed, not only is the the main Revvnrg website now available in Spanish but the backoffice and sign up page are too! So get your Spanish prospects to your site today!

Who hates to Follow Up?

I don’t know about you, but lots of people seem to have a problem with following up their leads. This is the feedback I often get from some people in my my team, so I guess other leaders experience the same problem from time to time.

So what can be done to make it easier to make the all important follow up calls? Well, let’s look at the 2 types of follow up call together with a couple of ideas……….

Two Types Of Follow Up

First Contact Follow Up. Making contact with a lead the first time can be a challenge for newbie marketers. Most of the leads I generate (and teach others how to generate) are inbound leads. In other words, the prospect approaches me, which is nice. But still I get people who aren’t comfortable making the call.

Fear intrudes, which is understandable – particularly if they’ve never done this type of work before.

I never have a problem phoning this type of lead. Although as indicated some reps struggle with picking up the phone to talk to people who are leaning forward and making an inquiry.

To me this is crazy, but the reality if that if you don’t ‘see’ yourself as being a problem solver – someone who has a great solution to a prospect’s problem – then you won’t feel comfortable picking up the damn phone! You’ll avoid it like the plague because your negative self talk will constantly undermine you.

Second and Subsequent Follow Ups. Some reps are fine talking to the prospect for the first time, but really struggle with this next step. After they send the prospect to a webinar, seminar, live call or some other presentation, they then become timid about following up at this point. Why? Fear of rejection, that’s the reason.

This is because this follow up step is all about that dreaded stage in the sales process – the Close! Scary stuff. But you don’t necessarily have to do the big close at this point – just treat it as a ‘sifting’ call. Or if it is deemed necessary to close the prospect in the traditional way, enlist the support of your upline to do the job for you. Sometimes I still use my upline to help out!

Like the dog in the picture, you gotta have a rock solid attitude. ‘Don’t fuss with me’ is the attitude we probably all need to have.

Kaizen:

An excerpt from
212° Leadership
by Mac Anderson

Leaders lead by example, whether they intend to or not.

What example did you set today? When you lead by example, you engage your people to follow your vision…not by words, but by action. While you are measuring your employees’ performance, they are measuring how well you follow through on both your words and your deeds.

Think leading by example is only for top management? Think again. Whatever your position in your organization, the way you do your job…and the attitude with which you do it…determines the impact that you have.

I recently read a story by Mark Brown in the Chicago Sun-Times that really drives this point home. Mark wrote about a Chicago-area mailman, Mike Martinez, who passed away at the age of 50, but left a lasting impression by the example he set:

"Mike was a heckuva nice guy who knew everyone on his route by name and always greeted them with a smile, a wave and some friendly chitchat.

"He was the kind of mailman who would warn them if they’d forgotten to move their cars on street-sweeping day, search the post office on his weekend day off for their missing package or stop by their homes after work for a beer or a barbecue."

The article goes on to describe other people that Mike touched as he delivered the mail, including Tom Lutz, who had suffered a stroke. Mike would call Tom and ask him to help deliver the mail to his neighbors as part of his rehab.

"He would encourage me to try a little harder each day, as my bad leg would get better little by little," said Tom.

"Martinez was such an unforgettable character, in fact, that some of those customers built a memorial garden in his honor.

"I’ve never seen anything quite like ‘Mike’s Corner,’ certainly not for a mailman. The garden consists of an exquisitely landscaped corner parkway plot with a small stone monument topped by an old-fashioned flag mailbox and a plaque designed to look like a letter. The letter to Mike T. Martinez Jr. carries a return address of ‘Rest in Peace 1959-2010.’

"You don’t need to have a big-shot job to leave your mark in this world. All is takes is a warm smile, an upbeat attitude and a kind heart."

There’s no doubt about it. Mike left some big shoes to fill along his route…but that challenge to achieve the same connection with those he served is part of his legacy.

"’It really makes you step up your game,’ said mail carrier Tamme Price as she worked his old route."

That’s the power of a living example. It can make those around you "step up their game,"…sometimes long after you are gone.

Jeff Gitomer, author of the Little Book of Leadership said it best, "Your people are a direct reflection of you. They watch you. They follow you. They measure you. They listen to you. If you want them to be dedicated to you, you have to be dedicated to them."

Through your words, actions and deeds, you set the foundation for building an environment of trust and respect.

Trust is the key to both managing people and building a high performance company. It is the foundation on which relationships are built. According to Tom Peters, "Technique and technology are important. But adding trust is the issue of the decade." Peters suggests that managers must take a "high-tech and high-trust" approach, putting the issue of trust at the top of the agenda and treating it like a "hard issue, not a soft issue." If employees feel you don’t trust them to do their jobs correctly and well, they’ll be reluctant to do much without your approval. On the other hand, when they feel trusted that you believe they’ll do the right things well, they’ll naturally want to do things to the best of their ability and be deserving of your trust.

In On Becoming a Leader, Warren Bennis outlines the four ingredients for leaders to generate and sustain trust:
1. Constancy. Whatever surprises leaders themselves may face, they don’t create any for the group. Leaders stay the course.
2. Congruity. Leaders walk their talk. In true leaders, there is no gap between the theories they espouse and the life they practice.
3. Reliability. Leaders are there when it counts; they are ready to support their co-workers in the moments that matter.
4. Integrity. Leaders honor their commitments and promises.

While corporate scandals, terrorist threats, office politics, and broken relationships have created low trust on almost every front, I contend that the ability to establish, grow, extend, and restore trust is not only vital to our personal and interpersonal well-being, it is the key leadership competency of the new global economy.

I am also convinced in every situation, nothing is as fast as the speed of trust.

Over the weekend we did some "house cleaning" and have cleared out all the Expired and Inactive members in our Matrix.
This was long overdue and now that we have gotten rid of all the inactive members who were clogging up the Matrix, we are going to launch our Daily Deals and Vendor Platform… TODAY!
The criteria for removing inactive members was if they were expired for more than 60 days. So anyone who was expired from 1-59 days was NOT removed. (however you will be removed once you hit 60 days)

IMPORTANT… Login to your account and check your Matrix to see the updated view.
If you are unable to login, then your spot may have been removed and you can now access it through our Freeloader login by using your email address.
If you did not want your account to be removed and you were unaware that you were inactive then please contact us immediately. (we may be able to save you, but we cannot guarantee it based on where your position is in the matrix and other factors)

Here is how the removal and roll-up process will work in the future…
When a member fails to pay their $9.95 membership they will be sent a series of emails for 60 days giving them a chance to re-activate before being downgraded. After 60 days the member will be purged from Matrix, however they will stay active as a Freeloader in our system.
If the member being removed has people underneath their matrix then their position will become available "for sale" by the enroller for 30 days. This gives the enroller a chance to put someone else in the spot before being removed.
Daily Deals going LIVE TODAY!

Now that our Matrix is cleaned out we are preparing to launch our Daily Deals and TFT Vendor platform TODAY (this will go live right before the Webinar).

Our TFT Vendor program has actually been live for 3 days and we have well over 100 vendors that we are launching with. These vendors all have access and they will be adding exclusive deals ASAP once we get them trained and all set up.

We are currently streaming Daily Deals from 79 markets in the United States, 5 Provinces in Canada, 41 regions throughout Europe, and 7 territories in Australia. We will continue to add more and more markets in the coming weeks that will include South Africa, Thailand and Russia.

How A Simple Stop Watch Can Change Your Life (And Make You Rich)

IN ALL MY YEARS studying the topic of time management and productivity, there is one simple, yet powerful strategy I’ve come across that has made the most dramatic impact on my productivity levels, which ultimately leads to more money. In fact, I’ve found that some of the sharpest, most successful Entrepreneurs and top earners of our time ALL use it to some degree…

It’s called a stop watch. No, I’m not referring to some sort of exercise routine here. However, I am referring to a “productivity routine” though. Most have never heard of this, which is why most struggle severely with time management, get very little done, and make very little money. This is especially true today with distractions flying at us from every imaginable angle.

Here’s what I mean…

If you do have an exercise routine, you most likely use a stop watch for certain things. If you work out with a personal trainer, he’ll most definitely use a stop watch to monitor your results. This is standard practice when it comes to an “exercise routine.” But why not when it comes to our “work routine”? Isn’t your “work routine” the MOST important routine of them all?

Three years ago I began using a stop watch (aka: my iPhone timer) to time my most important “revenue producing activities” each day. Meaning if I need to work on marketing, be on the phone, write an article (like this one) or whatever high priority action item needs to be done, I drop it into a window of “time” and assign a start time AND a finish time to it. The key here, and almost no one does this, is setting the “finish time” along with the start time. This way, things aren’t open ended and don’t drag on forever.

It is proven that we as humans can only focus and work (effectively) on one task at a time, usually for no more than 45 – 75 minutes until a short break is needed to re-energize. As example, when I begin my day, I drop my most important “must get done” items into two 55 minute blocks of time. At 8am I start, set the iPhone timer to 55 minutes, and zero in on that one “must get done” task until the timer goes off. No email. No instant message. Cell phone on silent. No distractions. Absolutely NO multi-tasking. Multi-tasking is a myth. Those who multi-task the most make the least.

Now, when the timer goes off, I take a ten-minute “timed” break, grab a drink of water and move around a bit. When the ten-minute timer goes off, I set it again for 55 minutes and back into that “zone” I go. In my productivity training programs, I refer to it as your “Productivity Strength Zone.” When the timer goes off again after 55 minutes I take another short break.

What I’ve just explained here is an amazing and proven strategy of how just two hours of focused, “timed” work, with a stop watch, can often times allow you to get more done in two hours than most get done in an entire day. However, this is very uncomfortable at first and is usually rejected immediately by most. But don’t most struggle with time management?

There is something very powerful about the stop watch that “boxes you in.” When you work within this timed zone, it’s very energizing and very liberating since you’re not being pulled in multiple directions, never getting much accomplished. Try it on for size. But only if you’re looking for BIG time results…

Training:

In addition to our own vendors we also have over 10,000 Daily Deals being streamed in PER DAY from various Daily Deal websites. All of our deals (Both Exclusive TFT Deals and Aggregated Deals) will be shown under the same Daily Deals section in your Member’s Area.

We are currently streaming Daily Deals from 79 markets in the United States, 5 Provinces in Canada, 41 regions throughout Europe, and 7 territories in Australia. We will continue to add more and more markets in the coming weeks that will include South Africa, Thailand and Russia.

We couldn’t be more excited about what’s happening right now. We are in the hottest market on the planet and we believe our business model can crush the competition. It’s very exciting to be able to offer you a platform to SAVE BIG MONEY and MAKE BIG MONEY at the same time!

Sincerely,
-TFT Support Team

PS… We will be holding a special Webinar on Thursday with both of the Founders of TFT. Make sure you write this on your calendar and get your team to attend because there are some amazing things happening with TFT right now and you don’t want to miss out.
